Type design — 2025 — Bachelor Project

Can a typeface signal birds chirping, crashing waves, pastel coloured timber framed houses and time for personal reflection? And what does it take to create a typeface that can represent a specific brand?

For my bachelor project as a Communication Designer, I designed a font for the Danish hiking trail “Øhavsstien”. The font is based on the feeling of hiking though the landscapes and small coastal towns along Southern Fyn.
